World Aids Day Workshop—Nov. 23, 2009
Are you an activist, advocate, or care provider for people living with HIV/AIDS? Does your work entail navigating divisive social, political, and policy issues and relationships? Do you wish you could have constructive conversations with the "other side" that would allow you to end fruitless debate, collaborate, and be more effective in your work in the fight against AIDS?
To honor World AIDS Day on December 1, the Public Conversations Project and the Division of Public Health Practice at the Harvard School of Public Health are collaborating to offer a free workshop for anyone who deals with issues around HIV in their work. This workshop will introduce you to dialogue practice, including the use of carefully crafted questions, communication agreements, and ways to encourage deep listening, respectful speaking, genuine curiosity, and collaboration.
Our December 1 session is full, but we'd love for you to join us on Wednesday, December 9 from 9:30 to 11:30!
For more information or to RSVP please contact Alison Streit Baron at abaron@publicconversations.org
Would you like to see the Public Conversations Project hold a free workshop for people focused on a certain issue? Do you think dialogue tools could help the arena in which you work? We're planning more of these, so let us know what you think!
