PCP Staff
As a U.S. registered 501(c)(3) tax-deductible nonprofit charity, PCP is governed by a board of directors that provides oversight of practices and finances as well as guidance in mission and strategy.

In addition to board, associates and staff, and consultants, the Public Conversations Project has a number of active committees that provide support in specific areas such as development and communications.  Members of PCP's donor community, The PCP exCHANGE, provide invaluable support in the form of donations, volunteer time, and introductions to potential friends and partners.

The Public Conversations Project was founded by Corky Becker, Laura Chasin, Richard Chasin, Margaret Herzig, and Sallyann Roth. The founders plus recent additions Raye Rawls and Mary Jacksteit, along with program staff members Robert Stains, Jr., David Joseph, and Meenakshi Chakraverti make up PCP's team of associates. These highly experienced and accomplished facilitators carry out the organization's project work and trainings. Associates have distinguished backgrounds in family therapy, psychology, social work, mediation, conflict resolution, law, and anthropology.

Other members of the now thirteen-person staff provide management, administrative, development, communications, and IT support. While most of PCP's staff and associates are based in the Boston area, PCP also has a presence in San Diego, Atlanta, and Washington, D.C. Program staff and associates travel frequently to provide dialogue facilitation and trainings across the country and internationally.

For the organization's first seventeen years, Laura Chasin served as Executive Director. In 2006, she stepped away from daily operations and management into the role of Board Chair. At that time, Cherry Muse became President of the Public Conversations Project.
